puzzle.

puzzle.

I am a puzzle
with thousands of pieces.
I may never finish
getting myself together
and I may lose a few pieces
along the way
but maybe I’ll only
lose the edges
not the insides.

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

  1. I love this, but you need all the outside pieces to hold yourself together! Seriously, though, I get what you’re saying, so well put…

Even if you come apart there’s always a way to be fixed. Great writing Sandra.

  7. Nice. You sound like some of the toys and a bike I built for my daughter. I put them together without using all of the parts.

  8. Well with out the outside pieces, you won’t have any sharp edges, at least! 😀 This is a very cool little poem, I like the metaphor a lot!

Nice! The insides are the important part. Great metaphor!

Lovely! Perhaps last night was the night for insomnia. I barely slept.
This reminds me of that John Legend song- “love your curves and all your edges.” Let’s hope we have lots more curves than edges.
