envy.
Just like you, I wanted to be
Confident, fearless, worry-free.
But you hid your blues,
An elaborate ruse.
All along you wanted to be me.
can I help you find something?

Great limerick. A lot of truth here!

True story! I actually posted a little non-fiction piece about this particular “friend” (not-friend). 🙂

Reminds me of that nutter you wrote about that wanted your life.

Exactly my inspiration for this!

The grass is always greener, right? Rarely is that true.

Yes… it’s hard not to think it, though… when you feel crappy, anyway! (I’m not feeling crappy today, though.)

True that. Glad you are not feeling crappy today. Remember this on those days that you do. Everybody’s got shit to deal with, no matter how much lipstick is put on their pig. 😃

Hahahaa… that’s a new expression to me. I like it.

Oh, this is perfect! And what Beach said…
There are some pretty great limericks up this week! Kevin even wrote one, Jerk!

Half the time I don’t even participate because I never win. And it’s all about winning. (I am joking!! God, if I thought that, I’d never do ANYTHING!) But sometimes I am really proud of my work… so it can be a bit disappointing… so I really appreciate the comments I get here! 🙂

All this time I’ve won once or maybe twice! So don’t feel bad. The comments are the prize!

I agree about the comments. I get amazing feedback here! But I’m an attention-whore. And kind of a bitch. The first step is admitting I have a problem. Although I rarely get past step 1. 😀 😀 😀

Oh stop it! You’re not a bitch! You just have a sarcastic wit and a wicked sense of humor!

I think at times I wonder if people who don’t know me aren’t sure if it’s my amazing humor and wittiness or if I really am a bitch! Funny, when I call myself a bitch here, my husband never disagrees. He either agrees… or is not even listening. Could go either way. LOL

Perfectly done this week. Maybe not quite as good as mine 🙂 (kidding, just kidding, you deserve a 1st)

LOL! Thank you! 🙂 Your comment is my blue ribbon. 🙂 Perhaps I will start some kind of challenge. And the awards will be 2nd and 3rd place only since I will get 1st place every week. Hahahahaa! (I am obviously kidding and will not do this!)

IDK, I think you’re on to something. If we all ran our own challenge, we could all have a first place every week then just get lower prizes elsewhere…

Hahaha! I think if I ever did do a challenge, I would have it be something where the “entries” are in the comments and the “likes” are the votes (like Nicola’s 6-word challenge)… because there’s no way in hell I could choose myself!

Great limerick. It reminded me of a story you wrote a while ago, of a girl who wanted to be you.

Yes — that was the inspiration. I had no trouble coming up with this one…!

Ah that’s an amazing limerick! A nice reminder to the “grass is always greener on the other side” syndrome!

Oh yes. So easy to think that when you don’t know the whole story!
