She doesn’t visit everyone
But I’m one of the lucky ones.
Sometimes she has a reason
And I know she’s coming
But she usually pops by
Unannounced.
I hate her.
She makes my fingers
Unable to type
Unable to function at all.
She makes me think
My heart is quitting
At her very presence.
She frightens me
When she takes my breath
And fucks it all up
Until I feel so dizzy
I have to lie down…
Then I’m hot, sweating.
Shortly I will need
That extra blanket
For my chills.
I hate her.
She stays too long.
I can’t quite kick her out.
And even when she leaves,
Her cruel gifts linger.
And I am left
Exhausted
In the place
Where I think
This may be the end
Of me.
can I help you find something?

Oh babe… I’m sorry.

Thanks. It’s okay… scariest was when it started… while I was driving.

Apparentely, this comes from some real life events. I am so sorry that you may be going through turmoil or stress. I hope the bitch moves on.

Thanks… she doesn’t come often, but when she does… ms. anxiety attack tends to linger.

Sorry to hear that. She really needs to disappear.

Better living through chemistry, my pharmacist friend used to say… I will be okay…

Well… It’s not THAT bitch. 🙂 It’s the anxiety attack bitch… Which could happen to a guy… But I’m glad it doesn’t happen to you!

Me too! I feel for anybody that does. Many of my patients suffer from it, and I feel somewhat helpless to their concerns. It’s frustrating to not be able to do much to alleviate it for them.

I hit send too soon. I meant add “without those feelings”. My wife doesn’t have anxiety per se, but depression hit her hard after her mom died. I worry of course. What parent doesn’t. But it isn’t debilitating. I feel for you, suffering outta the blue. I’ll send some positive vibes your way, to find peace when you need it.

Thanks… I appreciate that. Drugs also help. The legal ones. Well, possibly the illegal ones, too, but I have none… Haha. Ah, see? I can still laugh. Just in a reclined position with the lights off. Which sounds like a good position for any number of things. I guess humor is my other drug…

Humor is great medicine, to be sure. I’d recommend pot, my go-to in times of stress. But not sure if the potential paranoia would be too beneficial. 😃

I am sure that would help. I do not have any… boo… actually, that is kind of legal here. It really should just be prescribed for anxiety. Imagine how much people would just chill. (And possibly be paranoid… and possibly clear all supermarket shelves of munchies.)

Ha! No shit! If you’re an M&M around me after I’ve puffed, you’re in imminent danger! Hang on, I just got home. Sending you a virtual shotgun through the ether: whheeeeewww! Hope it helped. 😃

Hahahaa. Thank you, you are too kind. And so generous to share. 🙂 (BTW, in college, there was a lot of pizza… and cookie dough. So very healthy!)

Oh, the cookie dough! Chocolate chip of course. Ya’ know though, my wife makes fun of me by saying I’m a professional, but I fight the munchies. Eating kills your buzz. So does a shower and sex. But a bag of Doritos will soon be crushed if within arms length. 😃

My weird husband has never touched the stuff! I, on the other hand, went to college in Maine for 4 years, so you can make your own inference from that fact.

Absolutely. It’s my state’s number one cash crop. And was a close second when tobacco was king. Not legal here…yet, which is kind of ironic, don’t ya’ think? 😃

I don’t know why it’s not legal everywhere! I should be able to pick some up at Target.

Thank you… I hate the poof!-freak-out-now part of an anxiety attack. I was feeling great before it… “poofed.”

I’ve had her show up unannounced on more than one occasion…and always at the worst time!

I feel for you Sandra and I hope she’s out of your system today. Such a bitch. We don’t need them do we?

I’m on day 3 and I still have a headache… but I think I’m going back to sleep once the kids leave for school!
LikeLiked by 1 person
That sounds like a good plan. Sometimes we just need to listen to our bodies, if it’s saying you need to sleep then just do it. But if the headache persists, maybe you should see someone (now I sound like a commercial but you know what I mean). Take care.

If my headache lasts longer than four hours? Hahaha. 🙂

How did I miss this? I’m sorry, hope you feel better soon. Nothing new happened to trigger it?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Nothing I can pinpoint other than my own stupidity. LOL. I was really busy that day… and I forgot to… uh… eat. So when I started to get lightheaded (while driving) I think I panicked. I’m sure there’s more to it, but this might have physically triggered the rest… maybe… I don’t really know! Much better now. I keep getting headaches, though… from the pollen, I am sure.

I’ve heard driving can trigger panic attacks

I was driving for a while… I wanted the fresh air. And to sing at the top of my lungs without judgement (even though I’m not bad… not as good as I used to be, though). Of course, after my speed walk and forgetting to eat, it was probably not the best decision I’ve ever made. And of course I was in the middle of nowhere so no place to stop for food. When I did reach something, it was McDonalds and I thought I would puke if I ate that!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Haha, I get that, yes. Sounds like not eating was the culprit!

That’s what I thought. Not that I don’t have 50 billion things on my mind.. but they have been there for quite some time. Not new!
