wrong.

wrong.

Make the right choice
Swims in the ocean
Inside her mind
Never hiding
Or taking a holiday

But all things wrong
Lurk like sharks under
Once calm waters
Always tempting
Promising sinful pleasure

When the sharks bite
They take all they want
Weaker creatures and
The blood of life
Without remorse or regret

But she is not
A man-eating beast
Well, not so far
So she prays for strength
To do right and resist wrong
swash.

rejected.Yet another poem I wrote but rejected during the a-to-z challenge.

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

Like this. Sometimes it’s hard to make those right choices and easier to give in and be one of the Sharks, instead of someone who knows what’s right and cares.
