y is for yesterday. #atozchallenge

dying flower.

y is for yesterday.

Yesterday the sun came out
Fresh air filled my lungs
Hope and peace
Within reach
Sunglasses on I wandered
Admired flowers and smiled
At the world around me
Beautiful and alive
And then yesterday ended
Today everything went dark

swirl.

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

  2. That is the worst… When a day seems to be going along beautifully, all is well and then boom, the world comes crashing down on you. I am hoping this is fictional. 🙂
