This week, I went with my immediate thought upon reading the prompt — amusement park. Here’s my story…

Stop this thing! Let me off!

scary.

Crazy roller coasters — love them! But these things scare the hell out of me!

About what sandra thinks

Sandra is a writer, sometimes blogger, poet, artist, emotional disaster. She thinks far too much and sleeps far too little. Sandra lives in the Northeastern U.S. but dreams of an oceanfront home in Italy, but she would settle for a non-oceanfront home in Italy. She loves books, brutal honesty, coffee, and the color black. She hates insincerity, beer, whipped cream, and facebook. And she is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person.

  3. The Ferris Wheel reminds me of a story. Many years ago, I was at an amusement park with Ann Bancroft and we decided to ride the wheel. After an appropriate time, we descended to leave, but the operator kept us going. Every time we were set to get out, he started us up again. Evidently, he was having fun with us, but we were getting tired of it. “Listen,” said Ann, “the next time we descend, pretend we’re getting sick to our stomachs.” So we did, and operator let us out immediately.
